I think I'm getting another version of some cold!! Last night at knitting I was feeling pretty crummy, especially toward the end of the evening. This morning I'm feeling a little better but if my voice holds out, it'll be a miracle. I'm gonna try to be stingy with my germs and keep the rest of the family from another round of sickness.
Today is the first day I feel bad about going to work. It's POURING down rain and that used to mean I could put my jeans on with a big comfy sweatshirt and a pair of knit socks, grab the knitting, pop in an old movie (or the latest DVD series borrowed from a friend) and hunker down for the duration. I wouldn't even have to go out at all, not even to pick up the kids because of the carpool (I took this morning.). I was so lucky to have so many days like that, huh?
Not today, I've got my "big girl" clothes on, heels and makeup. I'm out the door in a few minutes...heavy sign.
You are so brave!!! I hope you feel better soon sweetie.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, mornings like this will never get easier. It's just rotten and you want to curl up in a pair of pj's.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better! I often have to pull up my big girl panties and remind myself - I am an adult and I don't have ro lession to anyone- I am grown!
ReplyDeleteI hear ya, honey, I hear ya! It's changes like this that make us look back on our 'previous' lives and wonder "What was I 'complaining' about?" (Of course, we were never really complaining, but you know what I mean!)
ReplyDeleteOur office manager has been heard saying "I put my big girl panties on today" - which I'd never heard before - but now understand to mean, she's up to handling the difficulties of the day. Maybe I should remember to do a "panty check" next week!!!
